The expected 2020 endorsement of President Trump Thursday by the National Rifle Association came with something the campaign is sure to herald.
In its letter to Trump, the NRA’s Political Victory Fund said, “You’ve done more than any president to protect the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.”

The nation’s largest gun rights group has endorsed Trump every year he’s run for president.
In the 2020 race, gun rights are emerging as a cornerstone issue as gun sales hit record highs and liberal states move to restrict access to guns.
What’s more, with Democrat Joe Biden leading Trump in every poll, gun advocates are growing worried that Biden may win and reimpose gun bans he championed in the past.
And, in its endorsement letter, the NRA noted that Trump has appointed pro-Second Amendment judges, another issue that is surging in importance.
Yesterday, Trump also won the support of another law and order group, the National Association of Police Organizations.
