Republicans report that Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) should not be on the House Intel. Committee after information has come out the he was possibly compromised by a possible Chinese spy, named Fang Fang, earlier in his Washington career. Many worried lawmakers have said that the Intel Committee is one of the most difficult committees to join, and Swalwell’s relationship to an accused spy is a threat to national security. But Nancy Pelosi is refusing to make any moves that show she plans to remove the congressman.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) gave her ideas about why Pelosi is protecting Swalwell:
On Fox, GOP IN Rep Banks questions why Pelosi hasn’t pulled Swalwell from Hse Intel Cmte: Either she, too, is compromised or secondly, that she needs Eric Swalwell votes so badly in a couple of weeks for for Speaker of the House that she can’t afford to alienate him.

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) also had questions about Pelosi’s actions as speaker. Saying that she was the person who put Swalwell on the committee. And asking why she doesn’t remove him until an investigation can occur.
Here’s the bottom line:
Nancy Pelosi selects the Dems for the Intelligence Committee.
She’s the one who handpicked Rep. Swalwell.
She’s the one refusing to remove him despite known ties to a Chinese spy.
What’s worse: She’s doubling down.

Scalise has formed with other lawmakers and wrote a letter demanding Pelosi do something about Swalwell immediately.
