House Speaker Pelosi is being criticized for labeling GOP lawmakers with the phrase “the enemy within.” This Thursday, the top-ranking Democrat said the U.S. Capitol needed better security and made the baseless accusation that Republicans are supporting violence.
Pelosi seemed to point to comments by Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-Ga.) who claimed she would bring a weapon to the capitol to defend herself. The Speaker’s words are widely viewed as a demand for political purges against GOP members.
The GOP has said Pelosi’s accusations are un-true and no Republican has ever threatened violence against anyone. Meanwhile, liberal terror-groups Black Lives Matter and Antifa continue to push for repression of conservatives.
