Nancy Pelosi wasted her last shot at House Speaker. She reclaimed the title in 2018. But since then, she’s refused to bring the House together. She’s sabotaged her own party, screwing over moderates to side with left-wing progressives. She flip-flopped, pushing two bogus impeachments while doing nothing to hold deranged Joe Biden in check.
Over the last two years, she’s sat back and let the economy go to hell. Worse, she helped it fail by supporting Biden’s radical spending bills. For all her failures and faults, she’s not once admitted her wrongs. Like Joe, she pushes the blame onto others–expecting Americans to be too dumb to notice.
But now that her party faces major losses in November, is she turning a corner? Nope! She is perhaps more delusional than ever.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insists that polls showing a grim midterm elections outlook for her party are mistaken and that Democrats are “in great shape” for Election Day…
The polls show that the top issues for Americans are the economy and inflation, and they trust Republicans to handle those issues better than Democrats…
“… Inflation is thereby, but it’s global and not as bad as it is in some countries. We’ll have to message it better in the next three weeks ahead. I think we’re in great shape. Other people don’t want to believe that.” [Source: Fox News]
How stupid and corrupt is this woman? She is largely to blame for America’s decline and her party’s upcoming losses. She supported reckless spending in the middle of the recession. She ignored Americans’ pain and suffering during COVID and subsequent crises. Yet she ducks responsibility.
I promise you that if the polls were reversed, she’d be bragging about it to everyone. Instead, she is suddenly doubtful that the polling is accurate when anyone can tell her that her party is in trouble.
The economy and inflation are the top issues at stake. Polling shows voters trust Republicans more than Democrats to fix it. Hey, the left had their chance. Not only did they create this 40-year-high inflation, but made it worse with wild and irresponsible government spending.
Pelosi can claim it is a “global” issue as much as she wants. But excuse-making is a really bad place to be in, just before critical elections. She has nothing to point to that will motivate voters. No successes that prove she is better qualified to lead than Republicans.
In fact, she might be doing this because, in the end, she doesn’t care. She is facing the end of her time as Speaker, perhaps the end of her career in Congress. Maybe the rumors are true and she will take a job from Biden soon.
She couldn’t do worse if that were true.
