The reactions from Democrats over the historic overturning of Roe v. Wade have ranged from idiotic to downright illegal. Democrats, panicking that the stream of revenue provided for them through abortion is going away, have launched all kinds of attacks against those justices who upheld the Constitution.
But none have been more ridiculous than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s.
This New York Democrat claims to be a socialist, despite her lavish and high-profile lifestyle hobnobbing with the rich. She, like all abortion-lovers, was melting down over the fact some states will restrict the murder of the unborn. And, in typical AOC ignorance, made wild claims against the court.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed without evidence on Sunday that some U.S. Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade “lied” under oath during their confirmation hearings, which she said is “an impeachable offense.” […]
“If we allow Supreme Court nominees to lie under, under oath and secure lifetime appointments to the highest court of the land and then issue, issue without basis…
“There must be consequences for such a deeply destabilizing action and a hostile takeover of our democratic institutions. To allow that to stand is to allow it to happen.” [Source: Daily Wire]
AOC made wild claims against some of the members of the Supreme Court, claiming they lied under oath. Of course, she has no proof to this claim, nor did she bother to offer one. Instead, she blathered on nonsensically, claiming that a decision that restores the people’s rights was a “deeply destabilizing action.”
You know, because protecting children in the womb would “destabilize” the country. In reality, she is admitting that overturning Roe would destabilize the abortion industry, leading to many clinics going out of business (and thus depriving Democrats of millions in campaign donations).
After accusing justices of lying, she then claimed this was an “impeachable offense.” Uh… sure, AOC. Make up whatever rules you want, so you can get your way.
This is pretty typical of Democrats, these days. When Republicans don’t get what they want, they are just supposed to accept it. But when Democrats don’t get what they want, they rant, rave, and riot. Then they start talking about impeaching the people they don’t like, packing the court, and upending our democratic institutions.
AOC is just one of many Democrats who express this kind of childishness. It seems they only like our system, when it works to their advantage. Their motto these days seems to be, “May way, or else.”
And that’s just what leftists have been doing. They are rioting in blue cities over the fact that other states will ban abortion. They destroy their own homes and communities (which will most certainly, for now, keep abortion) over something they cannot control.
But like all spoiled, rotten children, they are going to learn that the world doesn’t revolve around them.
