Most of the world is on the edge, right now. That’s because, for the first time in nearly 80 years, Europe is on the brink of war. Russia, defying the international community, brazenly invaded Ukraine. The sovereign country did nothing to provoke an attack. Putin marched his troops into the land, daring other countries to intervene.
World leaders condemned the action and promised a swift response. Biden is pushing more sanctions and other measures, including activity by NATO forces. Putin, in response, is threatening to use nuclear weapons on those who oppose him. Countries as far off as Asia could be in jeopardy, as Russia pushes the world to chaos.
But this is what John Kerry is really worried about.
“But it could have a profound negative impact on the climate obviously,” Kerry said about looming war with Russia, per Fox News. “You have a war and obviously you’re going to have massive emissions consequences to the war. But equally important, you’re going to lose people’s focus, you’re going to lose certainly big country attention because they will be diverted and I think it could have a damaging impact.”
“So, you know, I think hopefully President Putin would realize that in the northern part of his country, they used to live on 66% of the nation that was over frozen land,” Kerry explained, zeroing in on why Russia should care about global warming, “Now it’s thawing. And his infrastructure is at risk, and the people of Russia are at risk, and so I hope President Putin will help us to stay on track with respect for what we need to do for the climate.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Is this guy an idiot? What Putin is doing could cost Ukraine thousands of lives. The entire Continent of Europe could be engulfed in war soon. But John Kerry is worried about Putin’s commitment to climate change. I know Kerry looks like Frankenstein’s monster. But I didn’t realize he had his brain too.
I’m sure the top thing on Putin’s priority list is global warming. As he fires rockets, bombs Ukrainian cities, sends troops into communities, and threatens his own people, he’s sitting up at night worried about greenhouse gases.
I’d just assume Putin would spend up global warming, by threatening to drop nukes on his enemies.
This kind of stupidity is pretty characteristic of the Biden administration. None of his cronies have any clue what is going on in the world. Worse than that, they have no idea how to lead or deal with real problems. So, John is the “climate czar.” Does that mean every time he opens his mouth he has to spout hippy propaganda?
Isn’t he more worried about the innocent families about to be displaced or killed by Putin the Horrible? I guess not. But at least Kerry can win brownie points from environmental extremists.
