It’s no secret that Democrats are spending considering energy and money on brainwashing our children. From TV shows to music to movies, the left is trying to poison young Americans into hating their country and supporting radical, far-left ideas. Naturally, the best place to do this is in the schools. Which is why most public schools are controlled by mafia-like, liberal teachers’ unions.
But more and more parents are fighting back. And, thanks to conservative leaders at the state level, parents never had more power in ensuring their children get a socialist-free education. Now, one red state just struck a major blow against the radical left’s agenda. Because, the governor just signed a law giving families the one thing Democrats hate more than Donald Trump.
Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed the Students First Act on Tuesday morning at the Statehouse.
The bill allows each student to use, at any school, the sum the state allocates for a child in public schools. In fiscal year 2023, that amount is $7,598, according to the bill’s fiscal note…
“Parents all across Iowa, you’re in charge of your kids’ education,” the bill’s floor manager in the House, Speaker Pro Tempore Rep. John Wills, R-Spirit Lake, said at the news conference that accompanied Reynolds’ signing the bill. [Source: Just the News]
Democrats are very mad about this, let me tell you. School choice has been adopted by an increasing number of states. The policy, while different from state to state, provides tax dollars to families, so they can send their children to the school of their choice. In some states, funding is provided so children can even go to charter or private schools.
This is the money that would have otherwise gone to a student’s local public school–whether that school was performing well or not. School choice forces schools and teachers to actually do their job, competing for parents’ support. Obviously, Democrats hate this–since it gives parents a say in their children’s educations.
Iowa just signed passed a law that provides funding for K-12 education. In the coming years, the state will even provide funds to send children to nonpublic schools. This gives parents tremendous flexibility. If a local school is failing to provide a good education, they can use this money to send their children to a school that is.
Democrats would rather take all our tax dollars and give them to schools that are doing nothing. Worse, they want to spend that money on radical socialist curricula that poison children’s minds. Or, you know, pay for drag queens to dance in front of toddlers. Either way, Democrats are not interested in your children’s education, just brainwashing them.
Hopefully, all 50 states will one-day support school choice. And the left’s iron grip on our schools will be broken.
