Many Americans believe Democrats have launched lawsuit after lawsuit against Trump to derail his campaign. It’s no secret that the left hates Trump. They have called him everything from Nazi to terrorist. But there is a good chance he’ll become president again—that will really drive them crazy.
But House Republicans are working on plans to further honor the Republican leader. In the past, they had discussed making him the next House Speaker.
Now, several House Republicans are discussing plans to immortalize Trump in a way nobody saw coming. If this plan goes through, Trump will have a permanent place in Washington. And Democrats will have to see his name almost every day.
A group of House Republicans is pushing to rename Washington, D.C.’s, main international airport after former President Trump…
“As millions of domestic and international travelers fly through the airport, there is no better symbol of freedom, prosperity, and strength than hearing ‘Welcome to Trump International Airport’ as they land on American soil.”…
Legislative text obtained by Fox News Digital on Monday showed that, if passed, “the Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia shall after the date of the enactment of this Act be known and designated as the ‘Donald J. Trump International Airport.’” [Source: Fox News]
Several House Republicans are working on legislation to rename the Washington Dulles International Airport after Donald Trump. If successful, the airport will be renamed the “Donald J. Trump International Airport.”
Rep. Guy Reschenthaler stated that this would make the airport’s name a “symbol of freedom” and prosperity for international travelers arriving to the United States. Millions of foreign travelers enter the United States through that airport, including many seeking to work with the U.S. government.
Renaming the airport after Trump would be a major victory for the president’s legacy. Democrats have previously tried to ban monuments or government buildings from being named after Trump. It seems they are so petty, that they cannot imagine Trump being honored in that way.
But if the airport is given his name, they will not be able to avoid it—as long as they fly in and out of Washington, D.C.
There might be plenty of hurdles before such a thing will happen. But if enough lawmakers get behind it, Trump could be permanently installed in the city.
