Signs point to Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia, beating radical Democrat Stacy Abrams to secure re-election. Defying all common sense, the Democratic Party once-again nominated a far-left socialist to run for governor in a traditional, red state.
Abrams tanked her 2018 chance at winning, when a photograph of her burning the Georgia flag went viral.
Today, she is again ensuring her defeat by pushing some of the most bizarre, idiotic views on birth and abortion we’ve ever heard. Recently, she claimed that the heartbeat heard at 6 weeks of pregnancy is added by doctors so “men can control women’s bodies.” That comment is in direct denial of some basic medical science.
Instead of apologizing for her stupidity, Abrams doubled down on her extremist views.
Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams deflected a question Sunday about the longest timeframe she would be willing to allow abortions by declaring it’s a “fallacy we know exactly when a pregnancy starts.”
Abrams was asked by “Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream, “If you were to become governor, where would you draw the line? 15 weeks? Viability? 36 weeks? What’s the limit?”
Abrams responded by criticizing what she described as the “arbitrary standards of timelines.”
“… the arbitrary standards of timelines ignore the medical reality that it is a fallacy we know exactly when a pregnancy starts, that we know exactly where we are in the system – I mean in the term.” [Source: Fox News]
Does that sound stupid to anyone else but mean? Abrams claims it is a “fallacy” to say we know exactly when pregnancy starts–which, of course, flies in the face of the last 100 years of medical knowledge.
Not to mention that it defies the entire birth control industry and pregnancy test makers.
What this far-left socialist is really doing is trying to create conditions that allow a woman to have an abortion at any time in her pregnancy. If we can’t truly determine when pregnancy begins–and it’s up to the doctor and the woman to decide for themselves–then it opens the door to some women aborting a pregnancy just before birth.
Perhaps after birth–as the former Gov. of Virginia wanted.
This is how extreme Stacy Abrams’ views are. She is making these idiotic statements as a roundabout way of revealing her radical, abortion-only views.
But, in reality, she is showing just how corrupt, dishonest, and stupid she really is. She can’t admit that she is in favor of on-demand abortion. So, she makes up this nonsense hoping Georgia voters are as dumb as she is.
She’s going to find out that they aren’t. Even a little bit.
