Team Biden Ripped Apart As Top Members Jump Ship

DHS Chief of Staff Karen Olick has resigned amid the illegal immigration crisis at America’s southern border and a flood of Afghan refugees into the country, Politico said on Monday.

Olick was the chief of staff to Dept. of Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas and wants to leave from the position at the end of this month, as reported by Politico. U.S. Immigration And Citizenship Services Associate Director of Refugee Operations Jennifer Higgins is also expected to leave her role until the Biden White House appoints someone else.

Olick “has chosen to resign and pursue new opportunities,” Mayorkas said, Politico said. “We are grateful to her for her work during the crucial first nine months of the new White House.”

The Dept. of Homeland Security has struggled to deal with the increasing amount of migrants coming to the United States southern border, as reported by Politico. The agency has attempted to manage and deal with other crises including the influx of hundreds of thousands of Afghan allies into the United States and the aftermath of the powerful Hurricane Ida.

“Though too often not appreciated by American citizens, I am routinely struck by how many Americans sleep safely every night because so many agents at the Dept. of Homeland Security do not sleep,” Olick said in his farewell email, Politico said their report.

Olick was as a prominent person at the Democratic strategic communications firm before winning her position at the DHS, as reported by Politico. Higgins also worked in other positions for the federal government for over 20 years.

This resignation comes at a time when President Joe Biden is experiencing a record low approval ratings. With even Democrats lowering their opinions of him. This fall is mostly due to Biden’s new covid-19 vaccine mandate, which he is attempting to force upon Americans by ordering all companies with more than 100 employees to have vaccine mandates. This has led even Democrats to become enraged with Joe Biden, with many reporting that they regret voting for him in November. Now it seems that people within the Biden Administration are getting the hint and they want to leave the Biden sinking ship.
