Democrats won’t rest until they dismantle our conservative majority Supreme Court. They are coming out with one attack after another against respected justices, including Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch. They are claiming that because Thomas had a relationship with a big Republican donor, he is somehow not fit to serve on the court.
I guess they missed all that news about liberal justices and their big paydays?
The Supreme Court refused to support a hearing by the Senate against its members. Senate Democrats railed on and on against Justice Thomas, a noted black conservative judge. The radical left would love nothing more than to shame this man out of his post. But once they finished their screeching, Sen. Ted Cruz had his turn. And he torched them.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed attempts by Democrats to smear conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week, saying that they were “engaged in the same despicable tactics” that then Sen. Joe Biden used back in the early 90s to smear Thomas…
“The Left despises Clarence Thomas because he is a conservative African American. Here’s what Clarence Thomas said at that confirmation hearing. He said, ‘if you are a free-thinking, African American,’ quote, ‘you will be lynched, destroyed and caricatured by a committee of the U.S. Senate.’” [Source: Daily Wire]
Whoa. Cruz tore into Democrats’ attempts at slandering Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. The current attacks on this respected America are nothing knew. Cruz said they are no different than the ugly, “despicable tactics” used by Democrats in the 1990s to try to block Thomas’s appointment to the court.
Oh, who led those vile attacks against him back then? That’s right, it was Joe Biden!
Cruz blasted Democrats accusing them of opposing Thomas, not because he’s a conservative, but because he is a black conservative.
Yeah, they’ll keep finding stories about his life and distorting them to make him look bad. But he’s done nothing that every other person in D.C. hasn’t done. Democrats want you to think that the only black conservative on the Supreme Court is corrupt and needs to be removed. In reality, they are trying to “lynch” him, because he is a black man that rejects the left’s narrative.
Cruz hit the nail on the head. And he wasn’t going to let Democrats get away with their scheme to “delegitimize the Supreme Court” and slander a respected leader like Thomas.
