In recent years, Americans have woken up to a sickening trend on the left. Democrats, in public schools and other places, have been trying to subject children to content only appropriate for adults. Republicans have accused Democrats of trying to “groom” kids.
Democrats denied it but then got upset when we tried to stop them.
Many states have struck back for parents and children. They have signed laws that prevent leftists from exposing children to shocking displays. Now, Texas has become the latest state to fire back against the radical left’s scheme against our children. And Democrats are already outraged.
Texas has become the latest in a growing number of states to pass legislation that LGBTQ rights groups say targets drag shows, banning “sexually oriented performances” that take place in the presence of minors.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) quietly signed the state’s Senate Bill 12 into law June 18. His office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The measure, slated to take effect September 1, prohibits businesses from hosting “sexually oriented” performances in which someone is nude or appeals to the “prurient interest in sex” in the presence of minors. Those who break the law are likely to face hefty fines — up to $10,000 per violation.
Performers face much harsher penalties, and those caught violating the law’s new restrictions on drag shows could be charged with a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine. [Source: The Hill]
Texas’s Gov. Abbott signed a bill that bans “sexually oriented” performances in the presence of minors. This means no drag shows for kids. It’s pretty horrible that Texas even has to pass this law. But that is the state of the left in 2023. They are so morally bankrupt, they are encouraging children to be exposed to homosexuality in the form of drag shows.
Democrats will be ticked off that this law, but that only exposes their true motives. They claim they are not grooming children, but get upset when states ban the grooming of children. Which is it, Democrats? Are you on the side of children or on the side of transgender drag queens?
Because at this point, you can’t do both.
This bill brings with it stiff penalties for those who try to warp the minds of children. People who host these shows will get hit with a $10,000 fine. But performers risk a $4,000 fine and a year in jail.
You have to wonder about the kind of person who wants to perform drag before children. But let’s not bother. Let’s fight to protect our children from the left, which is increasingly becoming more and more like Sodom and Gomorra.
