Biden’s health is so much in doubt, that we don’t even know if he’ll debate Donald Trump. Some suspect Democrats will refuse, claiming Trump is an “illegitimate” candidate. But now, the problem just got hard for Joe. Because TV networks are calling him out big time.

Top networks, including ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and Fox News, are endorsing a letter calling on Biden to debate Donald Trump. The letter claims that debates will help minimize the polarization among voters.
The letter celebrates America’s “rich tradition” of political debates. It upheld the time-honored practice of the “competition of ideas.” But in recent years, Democrats have become seemingly hostile to such tradition—suggesting that anyone who disagrees with their progressive views are “threats” to democracy.
Clearly, networks are eager for the high ratings Trump-Biden debates will bring to their stations. But it is unclear if Biden will agree to debates. Trump has demanded Biden take a drug test before every debate, convinced he is using drugs to boost his performance.
Many Americans believe Biden is suffering from cognitive decline. If true, there is little chance Democrats will let him debate Trump—without the scales being bent in his favor. But if he refuses to debate entirely, it appears most voters see that as a major sign of weakness.
Now that networks are pressuring Biden, however, he will have a hard time refusing.
