The nation of Israel has been at war with terror group Hamas since October of last year. The Palestinian terrorists killed 1,200 Israelis, kidnapping hundreds. Israel has been engaged in a campaign to wipe out the terror network and rescue its people.
Almost immediately, progressives turned on Israel. They sided with Hamas to call the Jewish nation “occupiers” and claimed they were committing “genocide.”
Even more shocking is how little the international community is helping the one true democracy in the Middle East. The UN appears to be siding with Hamas. And President Biden is changing his stance to appease progressive voters.
Now, Donald Trump is issuing a dire warning to Israel. But will the nation listen to one of its strongest supporters?
Former President Donald Trump is urging Israeli authorities to “finish up” their offensive into the Gaza region, saying that the world is turning against their campaign…
“You have to finish up your war. You have to finish it up. You’ve got to get it done,” he told the newspaper.
He continued, “We’ve got to get to peace. You can’t have this going on, and I will say Israel has to be very careful because you are losing a lot of the world. You are losing a lot of support.” …
Netanyahu has vowed that an invasion into the city of Rafah is imminent, with or without U.S. approval.
“That’s a terrible portrait. It’s a very bad picture for the world,” Trump told the newspaper about Israel’s ground offensive. “I think Israel wanted to show that it’s tough, but sometimes you shouldn’t be doing that.” [Source: Fox News]
A president known for his stubborn defiance of the global order is warning Israel that it is losing support from around the world. He called on Israel to end its war with Hamas quickly. He said this as Hamas still holds hostages and has refused to surrender.
It’s surprising that Trump would say this to Israel. He has been one of the strongest supporters of the Jewish state for years. He defied anti-Israel sentiments in the U.S. and UN when he moved our embassy to Jerusalem. Trump also has a good relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Could it be that Trump is also worried about voters in the upcoming election? A growing sentiment among progressives is that Israel is in the wrong. Biden has been forced to turn on Israel, to appease this toxic group. Trump can in no way win these voters, regardless of what he says.
But maybe he’s worried that moderate voters are also getting tired of the war with Hamas.
I find it odd that world leaders are fine with Ukraine fighting Russia forever (on our dime), but Israel has to “wrap” up a fight to save itself after a few months.
Regardless, Trump did say that if he had been president, Hama would have never attacked in the first place.
