Democrats have tried to pin the blame of Antifa-fueled riots on President Trump. As local leaders stand down, they expect the president to take action. Well, after a week of chaos, Trump addressed the nation. And he made a powerful move that defied the disorder and the criticism.
Let’s get one thing straight: no matter what Trump does to address these riots, the left will not be happy. Early on, Trump showed his support for George Floyd and his family. He ordered the FBI and DOJ to conduct investigations into his death. That led to the arrest of the police officer who killed Floyd.
That did not stop the riots, though, because of several factors. One: the riots had been planned long in advanced by Democrat-funded anarchists. And two: it’s not the president’s job to swoop in an end violent crime every time it happens.
We have state and local leaders responsible for confronting riots. The fact that Minneapolis burned was due to the lack of leadership by their wimpy mayor and cowardly governor. The rioting only ended after Trump sent in the National Guard.
The president has to wait for the local government to do its job. If they fail (or are unwilling to act), then it’s up to the federal government to step in. Anyone that says Trump should have acted first, is saying they want Trump to behave like a dictator.
But after waiting for Democrats to do their job, Trump said enough is enough. He used the National Guard to end riots in D.C.

Trump was not about to let the capital be overrun by rioters and looters. But after peace was restored to Washington, he took a bold stand against the riots across the country.
President Trump said during a statement in the Rose Garden on Monday that he is taking “immediate action” to mobilize “all available federal resources” to stop riots and looting across the country, threatening to deploy the military if states don’t send in the National Guard to protests…

President Trump is mobilizing the National Guard and other military forces to end the riots, if local leaders can’t do their job. The president called out Democrat governors who are unwilling or unable to end the rioting that has wreaked havoc across American cities.
If they will not act, he will.
His march to the scene of the D.C. riots and visit to St. John’s Episcopal Church was bold, to say the least. Instead of cowering in the White House, safe and secure, Trump went straight into the heart of the chaos. He walked through the streets where, just a few hours earlier, thugs were trying to burn down the city.
By visiting the church, Trump is signaling his support for law and order and the will of Americans to stand up against oppressive forces. He held up a Bible, a sign of solidarity and strength to all Americans of faith.
We haven’t seen anything close to this from other leaders in our country. As Democrats hide and make excuses, Trump is putting himself clearly in the center of this situation. He will not back down, nor will he sit by and let Antifa-led thugs ruin our country.
If anyone questions Trump’s resolve, this should certainly put that to rest.
