Despite massive opposition from the left and unprecedented challenges this year, Donald Trump has been a remarkably successful president. Unlike many of his predecessors, he has worked to fulfill every campaign promise. Now, with the election looming in November, President Trump spoke to a group of workers about his second term. He made six major promises.
Most Americans had gotten used to presidents and politicians who made many promises to voters, but never delivered once in office. That wasn’t the case with Donald Trump. He spent his first term in office actually working to make good on everything he said. From tax cuts to new trade deals, President Trump had an agenda for the American people. And despite monumental opposition from the left and media, he’s been getting it done.
The events of this year, from impeachment to COVID to riots, have been unexpected. But Trump has continued to put Americans first in the face of chaos. This week, he spoke to a group of workers about what he plans to do in his next term. He outlined six major promises for the American people.
“First and foremost, we will defeat the China virus,” Trump said to the workers gathered for his speech.
“It’s bad, and we have made tremendous strides. We are attacking the virus from every angle and through this aggressive strategy, we will win the war and it will happen sooner than people think,” he added…

Firstly, Trump promised to defeat COVID-19. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to develop a vaccine as well as the production of medical equipment. He went on to promise to rebuild American manufacturing. Trump vowed to keep taxes low, slash regulations, and use the DPA to “mobilize” American factories and workers.
His next promise, one he has already made strides in, is to turn American into a center for medical manufacturing. Trump has already signed a deal with Kodak, for the production of generic medicine ingredients. He is also signing an order that will require agencies to buy medical supplies from American makers.
After that, he promised to move millions more manufacturing jobs back to America. Trump vowed to “onshore” millions of jobs from “other critical sectors” back to the country. He has successfully revitalized numerous American industries, through trade deals and other agreements. His goal is for the U.S. to make electronics, tools, air and space parts, vehicles, and more. This is not just an economic necessity; in an age when we know China spies on us through technology, it is a national security issue.
President Trump will also continue to use tariffs to protect fair trade. The president was routinely criticized by economic “experts” when he hit China and others with tariffs. But he was quickly proven right when it worked out to America’s benefit.
The president wrapped up his speech by promising to always put American workers first. Democrats have long claimed to be the party of the working class. But all too often, they created policies that saw jobs shipped overseas or replaced American workers with illegal aliens. President Trump has been the first president in a long time to actually embrace policies that have helped millions of Americans get to work and earn higher wages.
He vowed to continue putting Americans first in his second term, warning a massive change if Biden won the election. Should Democrats return to power, all the progress we’ve seen would be wiped out. We would return to the Dark Ages of Obama, when power-hungry globalists decided the fate of the country.
That’s certainly something we cannot afford to go back to, ever again.
