This week, Donald Trump appeared on a CNN townhall. Many people were stunned that Trump was going onto a network he frequently called “very fake news.” Perhaps with the change of their president, Trump was convinced he’d get a fair shake at the news network.
If so, he would have been wrong.
The host of the townhall was Kaitlin Collins. The woman was just given a big primetime show on the leftist network. And she is clearly trying to make a name for herself by going after a former president. During the townhall, she tried to lever numerous accusations against Trump–the same tired lies spread by the Democratic Party.
But the former president was ready. And this sudden move won the audience over.

Collins tried to hammer Trump over the false claims that he did nothing about the January 6 riot. She also went after Trump’s ongoing insistence that the 2020 Election was undermined by voter fraud. It’s almost comical how this woman thought she was going to stump Donald Trump.
I guess she really does live in a bubble, detached from reality. As she was spreading the same talking points of the DNC, Trump pulled out proof from his own Twitter feed that he was not responsible for the events of January 6.
Anyone can go back and look at Trump’s posts from that day to see he was against what was going on at the Capitol. The vast majority of his supporters who were in D.C. on that day had nothing to do with the riot.
Yet this CNN host wanted to, just like all the other Democrats, pin the actions of others on Trump. But he was not having it. Even the audience cheered when he pulled out the proof that Collins was blowing smoke.
It doesn’t seem CNN was prepared for Trump’s townhall. This is a former president, for crying out loud. A man who is not easily intimidated. Who has stared down foes much worse than Kaitlin Collins. According to many critics, Collins let the townhall fall apart.
She was totally owned by Trump. Her scheme to apparently undermine his re-election chances was totally blown.
As we always say, don’t mess with Trump.
