Trump Turns on Former Top Ally- Gives Top Host New Nickname over Polling

Everything is at stake in the 2024 Election. Donald Trump knows this is his last chance to recapture the White House and finish his agenda for the country. But things are very different than they were in 2016–and the former president needs to convince many on-the-fence voters to trust him again.

So far, he’s in a good position. Most polls have him leading the GOP pack. Ron DeSantis is his biggest threat, but even he is behind the 45th president. One of his former staffers, Kayleigh McEnany, now a Fox News regular, reported on good news for Trump. He is 25 points ahead of DeSantis, according to a new poll. That wasn’t good enough for her former boss–and this was his response.

Former President Donald Trump slammed his former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany for providing what he called the “wrong poll numbers” while on Fox News.

“Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany just gave out the wrong poll numbers on FoxNews. I am 34 points up on DeSanctimonious, not 25 up. While 25 is great, it’s not 34. She knew the number was corrected upwards by the group that did the poll,” Trump wrote Tuesday evening on Truth Social. “The RINOS & Globalists can have her. FoxNews should only use REAL Stars!!!”

During a recent segment on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” former Trump administration official Kayleigh McEnany reported that Trump’s lead over DeSantis has fallen from 34 points to 25 points in the key state of Iowa. This is critical news since it suggests that the Florida Republican is gaining on the former president.

McEnany might have been quoting a Fox News poll but did not mention which one. According to Trump, he is still leading DeSantis by 34–but he might not be taking into consideration the latest polling.

Trump seemed pretty upset with his former staffer. He called her “Milktoast” for reporting on these numbers. It seems Trump has given up on someone who once went toe-to-toe with the liberal media for his administration saying, the RINOs and globalists can “have her.”

It seems Trump thinks that because McEnany is not actively campaigning for him, she is in the pocket of globalists. Trump went on to say that Fox News should only use “REAL Stars” while not stating whom he thought those were.

Trump has said little about the Tucker Carlson controversy, how the network fired one of its top hosts. The former president has long been critical of the news network, although he often appears on Sean Hannity’s show, among others.

The 45th president has a reputation for blasting former allies who are critical of him. It seems he is unwilling to accept criticism from McEnany, even though she was reporting poll numbers, not her personal opinion.
