Trump VS Biden: This Court Battle Will Be One For The History Books

Former President Trump will not allow President Biden and congressional Dems to get what they want.

Trump recently fired his first salvo in what possibly will be a long legal fight to guard his presidential records from Dems who have created a commission to investigate the January 6th Capitol incursion.

Trump has demanded in a message to the National Archives that it not release records to the panel because of legal issues “including deliberative process, the presidential communications, and attorney-client privileges.”

Trump then said the situation was a political “game,” according to the NYPost.

“The Radical Liberal Democrats pushed the RUSSIA Witch Hunt, they attempted fake impeachments, and now they are attempting once again to use Congress to persecute their political enemies. Their requests are about law or reality—it is just a game from politicians,” Trump said in a comment.

“The Democrats are now drunk with power, but this dangerous attack against our Constitution will not work.”

“This Committee’s fake investigation is not concerning January 6th just like Russia Hoax was not about Russia. Instead, this is about silencing ‘Trump’ and our Make America Great Again agenda.”

White House Counsel Dana Remus sent the National Archives a message ordering the independent agency to obey President Biden, and not Donald Trump, according to NBC.

“President Joe Biden has decided that executive privilege is against the best interests of the country, and therefore is not justified for any of the documents,” Remus said.

“These are extraordinary and unique circumstances. Congress is looking at an assault on our democratic institutions and constitution provoked by people sworn to protect them, and the actions under investigation extends beyond normal deliberations about proper discharge of the President’s responsibilities.”

“The constitutional safeguards of presidential executive privilege should not be used to guard, from Congress or the American people, information that reflects an effort to subvert the Constitution itself,” Remus said.

Trump responded to the Biden White House.

“Biden has rejected our request to keep the White House information from the House Unselect Committee, but has not taken a stance about the insurrection that happened on November 3rd, often said to be the Crime of the Century,” Trump said in a comment, referring to the 2020 presidential election, according to the NYPost.

“With our nation collapsing and our Military disgraced, with our Borders gone, when will the American people say enough is enough?”
