Trump Wins Michigan Primary – But Stuns Voters with This Prediction

This week, Democrat and Republican voters went to the polls in Michigan to nominate their preferred candidate. Joe Biden won the state’s delegates, but suffered humiliation when over 100,000 Democrats voted “uncommitted” instead of voting for him.

That does not bode well for him, come November.

Trump dominated the GOP primaries, winning over 700,000 votes and securing 68.1% support. He torched Nikki Haley, who won only 290,000 votes and 26.5% support. After securing yet another primary victory, Trump made a bold prediction about November–and what role Michigan will play.

Trump’s win also comes ahead of Super Tuesday, in which 15 states and one territory will hold their respective primary elections.

In a statement after the win, Trump said, “I just want to thank everybody. This was a great day and Pete [Hoekstra], congratulations. You’ll be a fantastic chairman, one of the best ever. I don’t know if you know he was a fantastic— just couldn’t be better as an ambassador— but before that he was a really successful and respected, highly respected congressman. And now he’s with us, and we have a very simple task: we have to win on November 5, and we’re going to win big, and it’s going to be like nothing that anybody has ever seen. It’s going to be fantastic.”

“We win Michigan; we win the whole thing. The auto workers are with us. We have so many people with us. They’ve destroyed the auto working business—the auto workers— with this new deal, and with the all-electric mandate, all those cars are going to be made in China. And we’re going to bring it all back into Michigan and other places in our country.” [Source: The Post Millennial]

After winning the Michigan primaries, Donald Trump thanked his supporters in remarks released by the campaign. He went on to say that if he wins Michigan, he will will “the whole thing.” It seems Trump is saying that if he can win the blue-leaning state of Michigan in November, he will win the entire election.

Trump won Michigan in 2016 in a shock upset to Democrats. Michigan is considered a swing state but has a long history of supporting Democrats. The many Detroit auto workers and union laborers frequently side with liberals. But Trump believes Biden’s disastrous EV mandate has soured many auto workers.

Trump warned Detroit workers that all the EVs Biden wants made will be “made in China,” taking jobs from American workers.

Biden won Michigan in 2020 by a close margin. But his massive failures since then could give Trump enough of an edge to secure a victory. And if Trump can win a blue-leaning state like Michigan, other swing states with larger conservative populations will break for him much easier.
