It seems Democrats didn’t mind social media’s heavy-handed moderation when it benefited them. Social giants like Twitter have long “fact-checked” conservatives, to the point where they couldn’t even speak their minds. Democrats were silent as social networks destroyed free speech.
But recently, Elon Musk bought Twitter. And suddenly a tool that has been around for a long time is now working… to fact-check Joe Biden’s false statements.
Yet again, President Joe Biden has taken credit for lowering gas prices, to which he received a “fact check” from Twitter’s Birdwatch function.
In a Sunday morning tweet, the 79-year-old president said “Right now, the most common price at gas stations across the country is $3.19 per gallon. That’s progress.” […]
“Biden is referring to the ‘most common gas price’ as opposed to the average gas price of $3.800 (11/6/22). The most common is the ‘mode’ gas price. Neither are wrong and politicians tend to reference the one that is lower. The mode diminishes high gas states from the equation,” said the note. [Source: The Post Millennial]
The corrupt old bastard tried to take credit for “lower” gas prices by claiming the “common” gas price is $3.19/gallon. That’s still higher than it was when he took office. But Twitter users fact-checked the claim, stating this is not the national average–which is $3.80. The community-driven tool exposed Biden’s dishonesty.
In response, the failed “president” made a wild claim against Elon Musk.
At a political reception for US Representatives Lauren Underwood and Sean Casten in Rosemont, Biden said “And now what are we all worried about: Elon Musk goes out and buys an outfit that sends – that spews lies all across the world,” according to Reuters. [Source: The Post Millennial]
Oh, really? When Twitter censors Republicans, the left calls it battling “disinformation.” But when users fact-check Joe Biden’s obviously dishonest post, Elon is “spewing lies” all over the world. What a pathetic–and obvious–double standard.
Joe Biden and his Democrats had a free ride on social media for years. They could say nearly anything they wanted, even blatant lies, and get away with it. But the second conservatives questioned COVID vaccines or the result of an election, they get slapped with ominous “fact-check” badgers or were outright banned.
But now the tables are slightly turned and Biden is accusing Musk of spreading lies? I see how it is. The truth does matter. The rules don’t matter. All that matters is creating an environment where Democrats always win.
It doesn’t matter what the people want. It doesn’t matter how badly Democrats fail, or how many Americans they let down. All that matters is that Democrats dominate our media, Hollywood, colleges, public schools, Silicon Valley, and every other segment of society.
Anything less is a “threat” to democracy.
