Twitter Files Reporter Drops Bombshell on America-Exposes More Than Just One Website

In recent weeks, the world of social media has been flipped on its head thanks to Elon Musk. The new owner of Twitter released thousands of internal documents to independent journalists. These reporters combed through these documents, discovering what the former executives of the social network were doing.

The Twitter Files is an ongoing series exposing how Twitter abused its power to censor conservatives, with the help of Democrats in the federal government. We are only at the start of a major sea change that could put many leftists on the chopping block. And one of the first reporters to reveal this information now says Democrats were colluding with more than just Twitter.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Matt Taibbi, one of the reporters of the Twitter files, stated that the files have demonstrated that the government was also trying to sway speech on other platforms like Facebook and Google…

“…Certainly, we’ve seen that they have what they called weekly or monthly industry meetings with the DHS and the FBI. And those included a number of companies, including Facebook, in some cases, Wikipedia, Pinterest, there were a whole series of companies included in these communications. How deep the penetration goes in those other companies, I can’t say, but I do know that they had very close communications. And in Twitter’s case, the number of requests that came in was really overwhelming. Your previous guest, Michael Shellenberger, talked about how they were paid $3 million by the FBI. They were underpaid. They were doing so much work for the government in terms of reviewing these documents that they should have been compensated a lot more for their work.” [Source: Breitbart]

Matt Taibbi revealed that the federal government was communicating with Google, Facebook, Wikipedia, Pinterest, and other social networks. Just like with Twitter, these Democrat-controlled agencies met with social networks on a weekly basis.

We know for a fact that the FBI was paying Twitter millions to shut down free speech, often taking down tweets or entire accounts. The FBI claimed these users were spreading “misinformation,” but it was very clear the government was going after American citizens whose opinions it didn’t like.

That is a violation of the First Amendment no matter how you slice it. And Taibbi revealed that the federal government was doing this with other companies. We don’t have documents from these companies to prove it. But if the FBI was working so hard to control a website like Twitter, imagine what it was doing with companies that are much larger.

It’s unreasonable to think Democrats weren’t compelling Google to alter search engine results, Wikipedia to edit articles, and YouTube to take down videos. The only question is, how far did they go and are they still doing it?

House Republicans have an obligation to investigate the agencies that were doing this, so we can know how widespread this censorship was. Heads need to roll, if we are to trust anyone in D.C. again.
