Twitter’s Hypocrisy on Full Display–They Censor Peer-Reviewed Study but Not Threats Against Justice

The pathetic double-standard of liberal-run social networks has been well-documented. Websites like Facebook and Twitter have long applied different standards for content they claim “violates” their rules.

Time and again conservative content—or content that contradicts the left’s narrative in any way—is quickly removed by Twitter’s jack-booted censors. But they never apply the same standard to content spread by liberals, even content that violates basic rules of decency and respect.

And it’s no different, after the ground-breaking Supreme Court decision.

Sharing a peer-reviewed study on temporary sperm reduction from Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine violates Twitter policies. The social media company isn’t as sure about pledging to assassinate the Supreme Court’s lone black conservative, however…

The Center Square collected several threats against Thomas and related tweets that arguably violate Twitter rules, including calls by verified users to burn down the Supreme Court building, while noting “several” had been taken down and “some have not.” […]

Brown University epidemiologist Andrew Bostom, by contrast, remains suspended by Twitter five days after he shared the results from a vaccine-sperm study in Andrology, published by the Andrology Society of America (ASA). [Source: Just the News]

So, a study that might discourage men from getting a COVID vaccine was taken down. And the user, an epidemiologist, was suspended for days. Yet users who threatened Clarence Thomas and vowed to burn down the Supreme Court get to stay online. Only a few of the threats were checked and the posters chastised.

This is nothing new. For years, Twitter has turned a blind eye to violent, threatening, and hateful posts—because they are directed at conservatives. If you spew all kinds of evil against Donald Trump, Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barret, or Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, you’re in the clear.

But if you dare defy the left’s narrative on COVID, or even remotely hint at disgust against a liberal figure or politician, you could get your account suspended.

It is a pattern that has been repeated again and again, to the point where no reasonable person can deny it.

Even Elon Musk, whose purchase offer still hasn’t gone through, complained about it regularly. In fact, when he vowed to restore free speech to Twitter, employees of the social network freaked out.

They had gotten so used to censorship and suppressing conservative users, that they couldn’t imagine a situation where everyone had equal footing on the website.

This ridiculous situation might continue forever, especially if Musk ends up withdrawing his offer.
