Donald Trump continues to warn voters of Democrat attempts at “stealing” the 2024 Election. His claims seem to be confirmed, by attempts at removing him from the ballot and numerous criminal cases against him.
Many Republicans have stated that Democrat attempts to remove Trump from ballots were “election interference.”
Some have even said Democrats are threats to democracy, turning Biden’s accusation back on him. Now, red state governments might evoke the bitter lash of karma, with this one move.
Republicans are calling for President Joe Biden to be removed from the 2024 primary ballot as former President Donald Trump is facing challenges to remove him from ballots in multiple states.
As challenges are brought to disqualify Trump from 2024 GOP primary ballots in more than 30 states for allegedly instigating an insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021, Republicans are suggesting that Biden should be removed from the ballot in response, but because of the increased volume of illegal immigrants entering the U.S. through the southern border…
“What has happened in Colorado & Maine is disgraceful & undermines our republic,” Ashcroft wrote. “While I expect the Supreme Court to overturn this, if not, Secretaries of State will step in & ensure the new legal standard for @realDonaldTrump applies equally to @JoeBiden!” [Source: Just the News]
In an apparent response to Democrat attempts at removing Trump from ballots, Republicans in some states want to remove Biden from the ballot. They are pointing to Biden’s supposed failure to secure the Southern border from millions of immigrants as reason.
Democrats have accused Trump of trying to stage an “insurrection” on January 6, 2021. They are trying to use the 14th Amendment to disqualify his attempts at running for president. Many legal experts have debated this issue, but few have come to a clear consensus.
It is unknown what laws or precedents Republicans might use to remove Biden from the ballot. While many have claimed Biden is violating his oath of office by refusing to end the border crisis, there does not appear to be any law that would allow for his removal from the ballot.
Some have suggested that Biden should be held to the “same standard” as Trump. This could lead secretaries of state in Republican-lead states to come up with reasons to ban Biden. It is unclear at this time if any will take up that cause.
But if the Supreme Court fails to restore Trump to Colorado’s ballot, this very well may happen.
