Remember When They Said Kash Patel Would 'Destroy' the FBI? He Just Rescued 7,200 Kids

FBI Director Kash Patel just dropped numbers that should make every pearl-clutching Senate Democrat who voted against his confirmation choke on their morning latte — 7,200 children rescued and 3,400 child predators arrested under his reformed Bureau. But sure, tell us again how he was going to "weaponize" law enforcement.

Funny how the FBI works when you point it at actual criminals instead of grandmothers who walked through velvet ropes on January 6.

Patel appeared on Fox News on June 6 to lay out what happens when the nation's top law enforcement agency decides to prioritize saving kids over surveilling school board parents. The numbers represent a staggering 99% increase compared to the Biden administration's best year. Let that marinate. The same FBI that had plenty of manpower to raid Mar-a-Lago somehow couldn't muster the energy to rescue children at anywhere near this rate.

"Just think about the 7,200 kids that we found that got to go home," Patel said. "That means kids are being protected at levels that are simply unheard of."

Unheard of. Because the previous leadership was too busy playing politics to do the actual job.

The transformation wasn't magic — it was management. Patel relocated 1,500 FBI employees from their cushy Washington desk jobs to actual field work. You know, the kind where you leave the building and catch bad guys. Revolutionary concept, apparently.

And the results go beyond street-level arrests. Patel's FBI dismantled 3 million pedophile accounts on the Tor network — the dark web's favorite playground for monsters. "We didn't just do the physical work on the streets," Patel said. "We went to the cyber community and we dismantled 3 million pedophile accounts."

Operation Grayskull targeted dark web child abuse sites and netted 19 arrests in the United States alone, with additional busts across 7 other countries. Operation Soteria Shield in Texas brought 91 law enforcement agencies together and produced 276 arrests and 89 children rescued.

The individual cases are stomach-turning. Montrey Roseberry, a 20-year-old from Orlando, received a life sentence for running a sextortion scheme targeting over 50 victims. James Bernard Grover, a 63-year-old from Deltona who founded a nonprofit called the Special Needs Advocacy Program — let that sink in — also got life for livestreamed sexual assaults. FBI Tampa secured both life sentences in the same week.

Patel didn't sugarcoat what they found. "Shockingly, many of these perpetrators had no prior criminal records," he said. "They were people we knew and trusted: neighbors, colleagues, even family members."

Here's what drives the left absolutely insane about these numbers: they can't argue with them. You can spin economic data. You can frame poll numbers. But 7,200 rescued children? That's not a talking point. That's 7,200 kids who got to go home, as reported by RedState.

"The numbers speak for themselves because the FBI are putting kids first," Patel said. "We are going to the ends of the earth and the cyber realm to safeguard our kids."

We spent four years listening to Democrats wail that Kash Patel would turn the FBI into Trump's personal Gestapo. Instead, he turned it into the most effective child-rescue operation in American law enforcement history. The media will ignore this. They'll bury it under whatever manufactured outrage they're cooking up this week. But 7,200 families know the truth — and so do we.
