After GOP Makes Shocking Debate Move – Trump Throws Down the Gauntlet

At this moment, Trump is the far-and-away GOP frontrunner for the 2024 nomination. Millions of Americans want Trump back in the White House. And the left’s scheme to indict him over flimsy charges has only helped Trump gain more support.

Yet, there are still several other Republicans running for president, with a few more likely to launch campaigns soon. Trump might be leading in the polls, but every candidate deserves their chance to make a case to voters.

Normally, the RNC hosts numerous debates through the end of this year and into the next. These debates are key in helping voters decide whom they’ll back. But, according to reporters, the RNC is picking some very un-conservative hosts to moderate these debates. So, the frontrunner is giving them an ultimatum.

Former President Trump threatened Tuesday to skip the Republican primary debates, complaining on his social media platform that he had not been consulted about them and predicting that moderators would be hostile to him…

“I see that everybody is talking about the Republican Debates, but nobody got my approval, or the approval of the Trump Campaign, before announcing them,” Trump posted on Tuesday. “When you’re leading by seemingly insurmountable numbers, and you have hostile Networks with angry, TRUMP & MAGA hating anchors asking the ‘questions,’ why subject yourself to being libeled and abused?”

Trump attacked the location for the second debate, snapping, “Also, the Second Debate is being held at the Reagan Library, the Chairman of which is, amazingly, Fred Ryan, Publisher of The Washington Post. NO!” [Source: Daily Wire]

Trump blasted the RNC, with which he should be working, for scheduling the first two debates without his input. It seems Trump thinks he should be calling the shots for these debates because the polls have him as the frontrunner.

If that were the case, it would create a clear conflict of interest within the party. Back in 2016, Hillary Clinton infamously took over the DNC, even before the debates. Her “approval” led to a rigged series of debates. She was given the questions beforehand, while her rival Bernie Sanders was hung out to dry.

Does Trump want the same thing for this year’s RNC debates? That would be a gross violation of the entire process. Yet Trump does not seem to care. Ever since 2020, he seems to think that unless he gets whatever he wants, the system is “rigged” against him.

In reality, Trump is pulling this stunt to avoid attending the debates entirely. Trump knows he has strong support among many Americans. He doesn’t have to waste time debating other Republicans, potentially weakening his chances. So, he is making a big stink about nothing, as an excuse for skipping the debates.

Sadly, his most passionate supporters will buy this line, instead of holding Trump accountable. If you want Trump to return to the White House, he has to play by the rules. There is no way he is going to be able to defeat the leftist machine unless he gets the full support of the GOP. Skipping the debates is only going to drive independents and some Republicans away.

Is Trump handing the 2024 Election to Democrats? Could be.
