I don’t have to tell you how many wealthy Americans are leaving blue states–and taking their businesses with them. For years, business owners have had no choice but to leave Democrat-run cities and states.
These states have hammered businesses with sky-high taxes. On top of that, unchecked crime and homelessness have forced some companies to close their doors for good.
Elon Musk famously ditched California, moving his businesses–and his home–to Austin, TX. But he is not the only billionaire fleeing the West Coast. Because close behind him is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. He’s leaving woke Seattle. And he’s taking his company with him.
Amazon is looking for office space in Miami as company founder Jeff Bezos plans to move to Florida after spending 29 years in Seattle.
The tech giant’s search for 50,000 square feet of office space in Miami began before Bezos announced his plans to move to an opulent village near the city, an Amazon spokesperson said, according to Bloomberg. The Amazon founder — who is now the company’s executive chairman — said earlier this month that he was moving to Florida, and he recently purchased a $79 million mansion in Indian Creek’s “Billionaire Bunker,” while also paying $68 million for the neighboring property. This is huge news. Jeff Bezos, founding of mega-retailor Amazon, is leaving Seattle after 29 years. And don’t think this has nothing to do with how poorly the city is being run thanks to Democrats. Because the state he chose to relocate to is none other than a leftist punching bag, Florida.
Red state Florida is so “terrible” that wealthy Americans keep fleeing to there. Not only that but Amazon is set to move much of its operations from tax-heavy Washington to the Sunshine State. They are looking for a 50,000-square-foot office–which would make it a major base for the company.
This is perhaps the biggest of these moves that we’ve seen. For Musk to leave California, bringing Tesla and SpaceX to Texas is one thing. But Musk doesn’t run the biggest retail company in the world. For Bezos to flee Seattle, his home for nearly three decades, and move a large part of Amazon with him–is serious.
For most of us, we’d consider this a wake-up call for left-wing Washington state. Instead, Democrats will just shrug their shoulders. Blue, West Coast states have been losing hundreds of thousands of residents.
Jobs are fleeing with them. Yet Democrat leaders refuse to admit that their socialist policies are what’s killing their states. I guess they will make up the difference in residents with the millions of illegal aliens flooding the country?
Too bad those aliens don’t create jobs, pay taxes, or improve communities.
