I don’t have to tell you about the crime epidemic sweeping major cities in the U.S. If you can get out of a big city, do. Liberals are taking over nearly every large community in America. And they are importing crazed, left-wing policies that encourage crime.
Progressive Democrats in large cities have legalized narcotics, done nothing about homeless encampments, eliminated cash bail, and defunded their police departments. Big surprise, crime is out of control.
Despite this, Democrat leaders continue to do nothing in most of these cities. But criminals are not prejudiced about whom they hurt. And they certainly didn’t give this blue city mayor a pass, despite what he’s done for them.
Denver’s mayor can be counted among the growing number of auto theft victims in the Centennial State.

Auto theft has been a growing issue in Colorado in recent years.
Colorado’s auto theft rate climbed by the fastest rate in the nation from 2011 to 2020, jumping 144% during those years.
In Denver, the picture is no better, where auto theft makes up a large chunk of overall crime. That includes thefts at Denver International Airport, where police saw more theft than ever this year. [Source: MSN]
Oh, do you mean to tell me that a Democrat-run city has a problem with crime!? Even the mayor of Denver, Mike Johnston, is not immune to the shocking rise in car thefts in the state. Thanks to the increasingly progressive agenda going on in Colorado, crime is exploding.
They get to boast that they have the highest rate of car theft in the entire nation. Not Detroit. Not Chicago. Not even New York. But Denver.
You don’t have to puzzle out why this is the case. Colorado was once a relatively moderate state. But, over the years, Democrats elected to local office have become more and more radicalized. They have been importing extreme, West Coast progressivism to the Rocky Mountain state.
The result has been an embarrassing increase in crime.
Johnston is far from the only Democrat official suffering from his own ill-advised policies. Democrats in other cities, especially Washington, D.C., have been carjacked or victimized by crime. In one case, a Democrat was held up at gunpoint while entering his car with his elderly mother.
In a few cities, Democrats are trying to claw back some of the power they gave up to criminals. But much more needs to be done to restore law and order in much of America.
