Democrats have indicted Trump… what is it, the third time? And some sources say, this isn’t even the end. I think it’s hard to believe, that this point, these indictments are anything more than the left’s attempts at stopping Trump from winning the 2024 Election. And most Republican leaders, outraged over these indictments, have said pretty much that again and again.
Even Trump’s primary rivals have come out to condemn these indictments. One has even sued the DOJ to release the documents related to these charges, in an apparent attempt to help the former president. But one Republican candidate–and former Trump administration official–has refused to comment. Now, she is finally breaking her silence–and shocking the country.
“I’ve lost track of whether this indictment is the third or fourth or the fifth,” Haley continued. “We should be focusing on how to stop China. We should be focusing on how to close the border. We need to be reversing Bidenomics. Putting a 77-year-old former president in prison doesn’t do any of that. We’ve got to move on already.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Huh. This isn’t going to go over well for Nikki Haley, who is struggling to build momentum within the GOP. She didn’t come out with an official statement after Biden’s DOJ indicted Trump, again. Even now, she hasn’t released a statement, but commented on the situation during an interview.
She seemed somewhat dismissive of the entire situation–and perhaps even of Trump himself. She didn’t bother condemning the Democrats for seemingly weaponizing the judicial system to manipulate a national election.
Instead, she seemed irritated that these indictments are taking attention away from her and putting it onto Trump. Which, of course, they are. Since Democrats started hitting Trump with indictments like they’re Mardi Gras beads, the former president’s polling has skyrocketed.
Republican voters appear to be rallying around Trump because of these indictments. And he is leaving his GOP rivals in the dust.
Perhaps Haley is bitter that all these indictments are helping Trump and robbing her of a chance to build momentum. She said we should be focusing on “how to stop China” and “how to close the border.” Um… no, we already know how to do all that. You need to elect a man who will push back on China and close the border. Case closed.
Haley appeared to insult Trump when she called him “a 77-year-old former president.” The former U.N. ambassador has failed to make a splash in the GOP primaries. And I don’t think this is going to help.
