Biden has been wrecking American energy–all to push a “green” plan. He is forcing gas prices to go sky-high, so Americans will buy electric cars. And he is using tax dollars to support the green lobby. All to enrich his liberal allies in the green market.
But it looks like he is enriching more than Democrat-owned green businesses. Biden has directed the DHS to give the U.S. Virgin Islands $5 billion to buy solar panels. House Republicans are now demanding answers, as they fear this money is going to Communist China.
Republicans on the House Oversight Committee are raising concerns that Department of Homeland Security money is being used to purchase Chinese solar panels in contravention of federal law.
GOP lawmakers sent a letter to the DHS inspector general Wednesday requesting a review of the $5 billion in funding the U.S. Virgin Islands has received from the department to shore up its energy grid after two devastating hurricanes in 2017. The lawmakers say there are concerns that the territory may have used the money to purchase solar panels manufactured by forced labor inflicted by the communist regime in China…

Let’s not overlook the stupidity of buying solar panels for islands rocked by hurricanes. You know what doesn’t work during a storm? Solar panels. How the heck are the U.S. Virgin Islands going to fix their energy problems with technology that won’t work at the very time they need it?
Does someone smell a rat?
Worse than that is the possibility that these tax dollars are going to China. Communist China “dominates” the solar panel industry, according to Republican lawmakers. If America wants to buy $5 billion worth of solar panels, it is impossible that most of them aren’t coming from China.
Which means, U.S. tax dollars are going to China. Just recently, the government passed a law that bans doing business with Chinese companies that employ slave labor–including solar panels.
Evidence suggests that China is using Uyghur slaves to make these solar panels. This means, Biden could be violating federal law to make the U.S.V.I. “go green.”
This is more concerning than you think. Biden and Democrats made a big deal about opposing China over its misuse of the Uyghur population. They were in support of the legislation that banned doing business with these companies.
So, is the DHS doing its part to ensure the solar panels aren’t being made by slaves?
Given how sloppy and pathetic this administration is, we doubt it. But, chances are, we won’t get a straight answer about this so long as Democrats call the shots in Congress.
