Joe Biden’s open border policy has created a crisis of epic proportions. You might not realize that, because the liberal media is lying to you. But since 2021, millions of illegal aliens have flooded this country. And Biden’s done nothing about it.
In fact, we know that Democrats want illegal immigration for two reasons. One, they exploit illegals for votes during elections (why else do they oppose voter ID?). And the other, because Democrat-loving companies use these aliens for cheap labor, firing working-class Americans.
But it doesn’t seem most Americans agree. And a new poll shatters the left’s arguments.
Americans overwhelmingly dismiss corporate demands for more legal and illegal immigrant workers, even at the threatened cost of higher inflation.
Instead, by a factor of more than two to one, Americans agree companies “should raise wages and try harder to recruit Americans even if it causes the prices of their products to rise,” according to a July 20-22 poll by YouGov.com
The poll asked 1,000 citizens: “When businesses say they are having trouble finding Americans to take jobs in construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and other service work, what do you think they should do?”
Just 22 percent agreed with the pro-migration view, that employers “should recruit immigrant workers to help keep business costs and prices down.” [Source: Breitbart]
How pathetic. YouGov tried to coerce Americans into supporting immigrants taking American jobs by suggesting it would “lower inflation.”
You know what lowers inflation? An administration that knows what the hell it’s doing!
But Americans weren’t taken in. By a massive majority, they wanted companies to hire Americans first, before immigrants (legal or otherwise). Only 22% wanted more immigrants taking American jobs, but 50% disagreed.
You have to wonder who that 22% was. White-collar workers, who don’t think they’ll be on the chopping block? Think again. The H-1B visa is corporate America’s (and Democrats’) dirty little secret. It allows companies to bring over temporary workers, including white-collar workers. After companies force Americans to train these aliens to work, they send them back home (to India or China) taking jobs with them.
That’s why companies like Facebook and Apple support the left because Democrats promise to (and have) expand this program, so more Americans will lose their jobs—even college graduates.
But it’s even easier for companies to hire immigrants when they cross over illegally. Working class and blue collars Americans have been suffering for years thanks to this arrangement. And the corrupt union leaders have tried to allow illegals to join unions, so Americans have even less of a voice in their own country.
Democrats have claimed that the border is not an issue that will impact this election. This poll shows otherwise. Even when the left tried to stack the deck in its favor, it lost.
